How do I get on the agenda for City Council meetings? When and where are City Council meetings? There are at least three ways to bring something before Council: 1) contact the City Manager's Office; 2) talk to one of your Council members or the Mayor; or 3) appear before a City Council meeting. The best way to bring an issue to Council's attention is to contact the City Manager's Office (300 East Washington Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450, (540) 462-3700, Fax: (540) 463-5310). The City Manager or his Administrative Assistant will be able to place your matter on the City Council agenda, or they may be able to assist you in other ways as well. The City Council agendas are prepared and distributed on Fridays before meetings. Copies are provided to Council and the press. Please see Calendars & Agendas for more information. The fee is $10.00 per year for all dogs, and proof of a current rabies vaccine is required. Parking in the downtown is generally for 2 hours unless marked otherwise. There is no limitation on parking for residential streets, though cars must be moved at least once every 5 days.
