GUIDELINES FOR ADDRESSING
THE BOARD
(back to Agenda)
Although it is requested that prior notification be
given to the Superintendent by individuals wishing to address the Board,
public comments are welcomed during the Communications section of the
Board's agenda if these guidelines are followed:
1. Stand, state your name
2. Address your comments to the Board as a whole
3. Be brief, state your position and provide facts
4. Provide written statement and/or supporting
materials to the clerk for distribution to the Board and the Superintendent
5. Debate is prohibited
The Board will try to hear everyone who wishes to speak
on a subject, but sometimes discussion may need to be limited due to
time constraints. If you represent a group, you may wish to identify
other members of your group who are in attendance. Meetings of
the Board are formal proceedings and are recorded on audio tape. (See
Policy BDDH)
