CEMETERY ADVISORY BOARD
Established as "The Advisory Board of the Evergreen and Stonewall Jackson Cemeteries," this board consists of 6 members who are appointed by City Council. One half of the Board is appointed on July 1 in odd years and the other half on July 1 in the even years. The Board elects their own Chairman and Secretary from Board members and normally has 3 meetings per year. It advises and recommends to City Council the policies of cemetery operation, costs of interment, lots, equipment, and all other things incident or necessary in maintaining a cemetery. Additionally, the Board makes recommendations concerning expansion and landscaping.
